Q:  Why should I enter?

A:  By entering the North Devon Awards, you will receive the following:

           * Public recognition

           * Positive publicity in press

           * Recognition by your peers

           * Boost staff morale

           * The accolade for being the best in your field in the North Devon area

           * PR opportunities

           * Photos and links to your site on ND+ website(s)

           * A stunning award – Winners will receive a perpetual crystal glass award, courtesy of 

              Dartington Crystal, and a certificate.  Runners-up will receive a certificate.

Q: Who can enter the Awards?

A: Anyone with a business, or who works in the North Devon area can enter these awards.

Q:  What happens to the information I provide?

A:  The information submitted will be used to judge your entry.  It will be seen only by judges and administrative staff. 

Q: Who pays for the Awards?

A:  The Awards are primarily funded by sponsors.

Q: Who are the judges?

A: The judges are a panel of local business people who are experts in the category field.  Judges are impartial.

Q: When do applications close?

A: Closing date for applications are as follows. 

• Tourism – 17th October 2008

• Business – 17th October 2008

• Food & Drink – 1st October 2008

• Super Service – 31st October 2008

Any applications received after this date will not be included.

Q:   Will I be visited by one of the judges?

A:    By entering this competition you are agreeing for a judge to contact you should the need arise.

Q:   How can I get tickets for the Awards evening?

A:   Tickets cost £25 (£20 for members of North Devon+).

Q:    When will I know if I have been successful?

A:    Entrants will be notified by email as to whether they have been shortlisted by 7th November. 

The winner from each category will be announced at the Awards Dinner.

Q:  Can I enter more than one category?

A:    You may enter up to 2 categories

Q:   How much information can I include with my application?

 A:   Up to 2 sheets of A4.  This could be in the form letters, certificates, PR etc.  Any more than 2 pieces of A4 will be discounted.

Q: What is the prizes?  

A:     Winners of each category* will win a perpetual crystal award provided by Dartington Crystal.  Runners-up will receive a certificate.

*please note that Best Breakfast, Best Cream Tea & Best Farmers Market Stall will receive certificates  only.
